DESCRIPTION:South Jersey Coastal Fly Anglers is holding fly tying & casting events on the 3rd Thursday of January\, February & March. \n  \nWe have partnered with SJCFA in the past\, holding fly tying classes\, fly casting classes and holding an instructional fly casting & fishing event with a cookout for a VA Veterans suicide prevention program. All SJCFA skilled are skilled\, knowledgeable and eager to share with others. \n  \nWhether you are already experienced with fly fishing\, have no experience or do not even have an interest in fly fishing\, fly tying is a therapeutic and relaxing activity. So come on out and join us for the camaraderie. \n  \nPlease let us know if you definitely plan on attending so that we may be better prepared. We understand some times it may be a last minute decision\, and that is fine\, but if you can let us know in advance\, it would be greatly appreciated. DESCRIPTION:For our monthly hike/ruck\, we are holding it at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife located at 800 Great Creek Rd\, Galloway\, NJ 08205. \nThe purpose of our monthly hikes/rucks is to provide an activity for our Nation’s Heroes that is healthy and an opportunity for us all to show our appreciation for their service. One of the mindsets that we use at Woods n Water is #bettertoday. Each day we have an opportunity to be better. Better health (physically & mentally)\, a better member of society\, make better choices ……. \nTime in nature is better for everyone’s health\, but is an outstanding holistical method of healing. Studies have been done to show what we many of us feel after time in nature ……”better” Whether it be just to balance our daily activities or the camaraderie\, we all walk away better. \nWe ask that you arrive promptly by 9:30 (earlier arrival encouraged)\, get signed in and be ready for our journey together. Woods n Water will provide bottles of water and healthy snacks for those that are interested. \nIf you wish to ruck\, we ask that you add 22lbs to your ruck sack to honor that Heroes that have died by suicide. A study was done and it was determined that 22 Veterans a day die by suicide. We lose more Veterans & First Responders to suicide than we do from K.I.A. (Killed In Action). Together\, we can take that step to a better day and reduce that 22.
