DESCRIPTION:Are you a Veteran or Active Duty Member of the Armed Forces and have been deployed to a Combat Zone?\n\nIf so\, we welcome you home and invite you to join others that have been as well in sitting around a campfire\, breaking bread and shootin’ the shit ………. let the conversations and mood direct the night. We are looking forward to having our First Combat Campfire at VFW Post 8840. An excellent and active post that is “still serving”.\n\nYOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A VFW MEMBER TO ATTEND THIS EVENT!\n\nWe start the night at 1630\, but you are welcome to arrive when you can make it. It will last as long as y’all want it to (ending time is required for the event creation). At 1630\, there will be coffee\, bottled water and snacks; at 1700ish\, dinner will be served. We provide the campfire\, wood\, coffee\, bottles of water\, snacks and grub. All that y’all have to do is keep the fire going. The event shows an end time because we are forced to\, to make the event. It ends when YOU want it to.\n\n*** Please be sure that you have registered via Eventbrite prior to arriving. We want to be sure to have enough food for everyone and want to verify that you have been deployed to a Combat Zone. *** Registration link provided in this event\n\n\nWoods ~n~ Water vets ALL Combat Campfire participants. If you have not been verified by a Woods ~n~ Water board member\, please provide proper documentation. There are instructions on how to do so in the registration process for those that need to.

SUMMARY:Wellness Garden Project
DESCRIPTION:Woods n Water is teaming up with The Nature Conservancy of New Jersey on a project. The goal is to create a wellness garden at their Maurice River Bluffs location. The Wellness Garden will offer more mental health therapeutic opportunities than what already exist.\n\nTo make this project a success\, some ground clearing and alterations will need to happen as well as some planting and relocating. Here is an opportunity to volunteer to a project that will serve to help many better their mental health for many years to come. Your small act can have a huge positive impact on others.\n\nThe Nature Conservancy has many locations that they maintain and provide information on each location for all to enjoy at no cost to anyone. Let’s give back and help with this project.\n\nAll needed tools/equipment for the project will be provided. If you like to wear gloves\, please bring your own\, as well as any food or beverage that you may want. Woods n Water will provide bottled water and some snacks for any volunteer assisting with this project.
