SUMMARY:Mission: Heroes Bass Fishing - South Vineland Park
DESCRIPTION:This is a boat event for our Nation’s Heroes.\n\nVolunteer boaters will be paired with Veterans/active duty members of the Armed Forces and first responders for a FREE day of fishing on the water. If a Veteran/active duty member of the Armed Forces or a first responder has their own boat or a friend/family member that will take them out in one\, they are welcome to do so. If not\, we will team up each Hero with someone with a boat. So if you have a boat and would like to volunteer your time and boat to take a Hero out for a day of fishing\, we welcome you to join us.\n\n\n***You must register via Eventbrite! The link is provided for you in this event.***\n\nHeroes do NOT need a fishing license. NJ Fish & Wildlife generously waived the license requirement for WnW events. All others must have a current NJ fishing license in possession.There is a motor restriction for this lake. No motor bigger than 9.9hp and boats must be legally registered. Derby team tournament format with awards going to:Bass 5 fish limit* 1st Big Bass Team* 1st Big Miscellaneous Team* 1st Big Panfish Team (Crappie/Perch)(1) fishing rod per person at a time. Lures & live bait permitted(2) people per boat\n\n\nWe ask boaters to arrive at 05:00\, get signed in and have your boat & gear ready to launch by 06:00\,Those without a boat are asked to arrive by 05:30\, sign in and be ready to launch with the boater assigned to you by 06:00

DESCRIPTION:Are you a Veteran or Active Duty Member of the Armed Forces and have been deployed to a Combat Zone?\n\nIf so\, we welcome you home and invite you to join others that have been as well in sitting around a campfire\, breaking bread and shootin’ the shit ………. let the conversations and mood direct the night. We start the night at 1630\, but you are welcome to arrive when you can make it. It will last as long as y’all want it to (ending time is required for the event creation).\n\nAt 1630\, there will be coffee\, bottled water and snacks; at 1700ish\, dinner will be served. We provide the campfire\, wood\, coffee\, bottles of water\, snacks and grub. All that y’all have to do is keep the fire going.\n\n*** You MUST register for this event!!! *** Simply click on the link provided and it will direct you to the Eventbrite registration.\n\nWoods ~n~ Water vets ALL Combat Campfire participants. If you have not been verified by a Woods ~n~ Water board member\, please provide proper documentation. There are instructions on how to do so in the registration process for those that need to.\nWe will be set up at campsite #7. They allow only two vehicles per campsite so please park at the registration building and walk back following the Woods n Water signs. For those with mobility issues\, please feel free to drive back. We will figure it out then.

DESCRIPTION:Once again Woods n Water is partnering with the VFW to proactively address mental health with a ruck event.\n\nStaying active is important for all of us\, but is very good for mental health\, as well as one’s physical & medical health. Each day we are offered an opportunity to be better than we were yesterday! Today is the day to start.\n\nThe event starts at 1000\, but feel free to arrive earlier\, as we will be there with bottles of water\, healthy snacks and information about available resources. We will cover approximately 5 miles +/- of trails through the scenic Maurice River Bluffs and once back to our starting point\, we will have a chat group session where all are welcome to ask questions and share experiences.\n\nFor those able to wear a ruck sack\, please add 22lbs for the 22 Veterans a day that die by suicide. If you do not wish to wear a ruck sack\, no worries at all. Just show up and be better today than you were yesterday.
