DESCRIPTION:Woods n Water would like to invite our Nation’s Heroes out for camaraderie\, a campfire and nature. \nWe have been holding Combat Campfires for awhile now. We have now began holding Camaraderie Campfires as well\, providing bottled water\, coffee\, snacks\, dinner and firewood. \nYou may arrive any time after 1400\, but we will have the fire going\, coffee & snacks ready by 1630 and chow at approximatey 1700. There is no set time when it will end. That will depend on you. There will be cornhole toss set up for those that wish to arrive early and get some games in before night fall.The objective of the event is to thank you for your service\, as well as offer you an opportunity to discover resources and support available to you. Some seating will be provided. If possible\, please bring an outdoor chair. There is no alcohol or drugs permitted in state parks. \n***Be sure to register via Eventbrite by clicking on tickets*** \nWe look forward to seeing you there!

SUMMARY:Mission: Hero Bass Fishing Derby-DOD Lake
DESCRIPTION:  \nIt’s WnW HBF Derby season!!! \n  \nBe sure to register via Eventbrite by clicking on the link provided in this event. \nThis season we are going to raise the stakes. We will be recording every derby and at the end of the season\, there will be two 1st place gifts being presented to the best overall Hero and best overall boater. So the more events you participate in\, the more your chances are to win. \nThis is a monthly fishing derby with awards being given to teams for several categories at each event. We pair each Hero (non-boater Veteran/Active Duty Armed Forces & First Responder) with a volunteer boater. Each team will consist of two anglers per boat. All teams are to launch at 0630 and return by 1300. Weigh-ins will follow with each team releasing their catch immediately after. \n\nBig Bass 1st & 2nd\nBig Panfish 1st & 2nd\nBig Miscellaneous 1st & 2nd\nOverall 1st\, 2nd & 3rd\n\nVOLUNTEERS WANTED!!! \nIf you have a bass boat with a live well and an experienced angler\, please join us and take a non-boater Hero out fishing! Whether you are a Hero supporting your brothers and sisters or a civilian wanting to give back and thank our Nation’s Heroes\, we want you!!! \nWe ask that all volunteer boaters arrive by 0530\, get your boat and gear ready by 0600\, sign in and get to know one another until teams are announced. \nWe ask that all non-boater Heroes arrive by 0600\, get signed in and get to know one another until teams are announced. \n  \nEveryone must register!!!!!

SUMMARY:4th Annual We Got Your 6 Poker Run & Resource Fair
DESCRIPTION:This will be our 4th Annual fundraising/resource event. We hold this event the same time every year and set up the event right away\, so that others will try to avoid planning their event the same day\, so we can work together. \n  \nThis is the unfortunate aspect of giving back to our Nation’s Heroes is fundraising. We need the support of the community in order to carryout our mission of serving those that have or are serving our great country. From holding therapeutic events to running a food pantry\, to assisting Heroes with benefits\, transportation and guidance with benefits available to them. Please check out our “news” section of our website to see some of what we do. \n  \nIf you offer free services to our military and/or first responders\, feel free to fill our the resource form\, join us and setup a table to offer information to others. Working together helps us all achieve our important and needed mission. \nIf you wish to join us to share your business information and/or products\, fill out the vendor application\, email it to Information@WoodsnWater.org \nIf you are a business\, organization\, group\, etc.\, and would like to donate for the gift basket raffle and/or be a sponsor\, please fill out the Sponsor/Donor form and email it to Information@WoodsnWater.org \nHave a military vehicle and would like to show it off and talk with others that do\, fill out the MV form and join us. Not only will you get to show it off\, but those that have experience using them will appreciate seeing them again. Email your completed form to Information@WoodsnWater.org \nLast year’s event had well over 300 attendees even considering the rain storm in the forecast. Luckily\, the vendors\, resources and the band were able to pack up before the rain made it. \n  \nAs with each fundraiser we do\, there are two registration locations. For our friends from further north\, you have the option to register at the Toms River VFW (209 Courthouse Lane\, Toms River\, NJ 08753). We will provide a route that we felt was best for safety and scenery\, staying off of major highways. The route will take you through the beautiful Pinelands\, over to 206 and make a stop at the One More Bar & Grill. \nFor our friends further South in Jersey and below\, you have the option to register at the Pennsville VFW (171 South Broadway\, Pennsville\, NJ). We will provide you with a route that we felt was best for safety and scenery\, staying off of major highways. This route will take you through the South Jersey country\, visiting non-profit stops and a bar owned & operated by a Vietnam Veteran. \n  \nAnyone wishing to be a sponsor\, donor\, vendor or a resource wishing to share your information\, please feel free to contact us. It’s never too early to lock in you spot. Fill out the forms provided and email them to us. \n  \n
