DESCRIPTION:Are you a Veteran or Active Duty Member of the Armed Forces and have been deployed to a Combat Zone?\n\nIf so\, we welcome you home and invite you to join others that have been as well in sitting around a campfire\, breaking bread and shootin’ the shit ………. let the conversations and mood direct the night.\n\nWe start the night at 1630\, but you are welcome to arrive when you can make it. It will last as long as y’all want it to (ending time is required for the event creation).\nAt 1630\, there will be coffee\, bottled water and snacks; at 1700ish\, dinner will be served. We provide the campfire\, wood\, coffee\, bottles of water\, snacks and grub. All that y’all have to do is keep the fire going.\n\n*** You MUST register for this event!!! *** Simply click on the link provided and it will direct you to the Eventbrite registration.\n\nWoods ~n~ Water vets ALL Combat Campfire participants. If you have not been verified by a Woods ~n~ Water board member\, please provide proper documentation. There are instructions on how to do so in the registration process for those that need to.\n\nWe will be set up at campsite #7. They allow only two vehicles per campsite so please park at the registration building and walk back following the Woods n Water signs. For those with mobility issues\, please feel free to drive back. We will figure it out then.

DESCRIPTION:For this walk/ruck\, we will be at Cape May Meadows. \nJoin us for camaraderie\, information and a healthy activity. Whether you are an avid rucker or a couch potato\, this event is for you! These events are about connecting\, being active and taking a holistic proactive approach to better physical and mental health. \nWe will arrive at 9:00am and plan on hitting the trails at 10:00am. Please arrive prior to 10:00 to get signed in\, get to know the rest of the group. grab some snacks/water and get ready for the trails. \nCape May Meadows is well maintained by our friends at The Nature Conservancy. There are ADA trails available with braille reading and an ADA parking area. Much thought has been put into the Cape May Meadows including providing information about the area as well as the wildlife that reside and visit this location. \nWe are lucky to have a Nature Conservancy representative will be guiding us for this walk/ruck\, providing interesting information about Cape May Meadows. Our goal is to have an enjoyable\, informative journey through the trails and get to visit the historical bunker and hopefully the tower.

SUMMARY:Mission: Hero Bass Fishing Derby - DOD Lake
DESCRIPTION:As with last season we are going to raise the stakes. We will be recording every derby and at the end of the season\, there will be two 1st place gifts being presented to the best overall Hero and best overall boater. So the more events you participate in\, the more your chances are to win. Please register via Eventbrite by clicking on tickets/freeThis is a monthly fishing derby with awards being given to teams for several categories at each event. We pair each Hero (non-boater Veteran/Active Duty Armed Forces & First Responder) with a volunteer boater. Each team will consist of two anglers per boat. All teams are to launch at 0600 and return by 1300. Weigh-ins will follow with each team releasing their catch immediately after. \n  \nBig Bass 1st & 2nd\nBig Panfish 1st & 2nd\nBig Miscellaneous 1st & 2nd\nOverall 1st\, 2nd & 3rd \n  \nVOLUNTEERS WANTED!!!  If you have a bass boat with a live well and an experienced angler\, please join us and take a non-boater Hero out fishing! Whether you are a Hero supporting your brothers and sisters or a civilian wanting to give back and thank our Nation’s Heroes\, we want you!!!We ask that all volunteer boaters arrive by 0500\, get your boat and gear ready by 0530\, sign in and get to know one another until teams are announced.
