DESCRIPTION:Once again Woods n Water is partnering with the VFW to proactively address mental health with a ruck event.\n\nStaying active is important for all of us\, but is very good for mental health\, as well as one’s physical & medical health. Each day we are offered an opportunity to be better than we were yesterday! Today is the day to start.\n\nThe event starts at 1000\, but feel free to arrive earlier\, as we will be there with bottles of water\, healthy snacks and information about available resources. We will cover approximately 5 miles +/- of trails through the scenic Maurice River Bluffs and once back to our starting point\, we will have a chat group session where all are welcome to ask questions and share experiences.\n\nFor those able to wear a ruck sack\, please add 22lbs for the 22 Veterans a day that die by suicide. If you do not wish to wear a ruck sack\, no worries at all. Just show up and be better today than you were yesterday.

We will meet there\, get everyone signed in\, get acquainted\, and begin our ruck.\n\nThis event is open to all!!! Whether you are already rucking or sitting in the house playing video games\, this event is for you. Rucking is a great holistic method to improve yourself mentally\, medically and physically.\n\nAfter returning to Post 1302\, there will be an opportunity for camaraderie\, information\, and cross talk at a group chat session or you are welcome to leave right after.\n\nFor those able to throw on a ruck sack\, please put at least 22 lbs for the 22 Veterans a day
