SUMMARY:Scuba Diving Discovery Course III
DESCRIPTION:This event is for Veterans/Active Duty Members of the Armed Forces\, First Responders and one of their family members (includes a friend). There is a limit of (12) total participants\, (6) in each class. Depending on the amount of registrations\, there may be an opportunity for more than one member to accompany the Hero.\n\nThe purpose of the Discover Course is to provide a scuba diving experience in a safe environment with trained and certified instructors. This is NOT a certification course! The course is for beginners that would like to see if they may have an interest in scuba diving.\n\nIndividuals that complete the course and feel that they would like to pursue scuba diving\, may have an opportunity to take certification courses in the future\, as well as participate in future diving trips both locally and out of the State of New Jersey.\n\n*** BE SURE TO REGISTER VIA EVENTBRITE!!! ***\n\nThere are two (2) classes being offered that are approximately 1 and a half hour long.Please let us know if you have any equipment you plan on using. If you already have mask\, snorkel\, and fins\, please bring them with you. If not\, don’t worry\, we will have a set for you to use! We will need height\, weight\, and shoe size for all divers for BCD and neoprene vest size.Divers should wear a swimsuit with a shirt or sun shirt. A light weight wetsuit is a good idea if they have one. It is a heated pool but divers may get chilly after some time in water. A towel and change of clothes is suggested as well.\n\nThe pool is located at Giant Fitness (120 Britton Place\, Voorhees\, NJ 08043). When you arrive\, please check in at the front desk. From there\, make your way to the pool and let us know you are present. We will guide you from there.\n\nPlease arrive by the time provided with the class that you register for and PLEASE be sure to make the class or cancel your registration as soon as you know you will not make it so others will have an opportunity.

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we show our Nation’s Heroes our gratitude and to honor their sacrifices for their service. From our Armed Forces to our First Responders\, we appreciate those that have or are serving and we honor and remeber those that are no longer with us. \nOur ruck/hike events are geared towards more than one purpose and are open to all of our Nation’s Heroes and those that support them. Be the American worth fighting for and join us for some outdoor therapy for better mental and physical health\, while supporting others doing the same. \nIf you have a ruck sack\, feel free to bring it with you. You could place 22lbs of weight in it in support of the estimated average of 22 Veterans a day that die by suicide or you could carry the name of a Veteran or First Responder KIA. Or you can just come as you are and support a healthy lifestyle and our Nation’s Heroes. \nStudies have shown that activity alone is beneficial for both our mental and physical health\, but utilizing nature increases the positive impact that it has. From the fresh air\, to the calm environment\, to having less distractions\, being active outdoors in nature offers better benefits. \nWe will provide bottled water and some healthy snacks. We just need you !!!\nWe ask that you arrive no later than 9:30 am (please feel free to arrive earlier at 9:00) so that we can get everyone signed in and get acquainted be fore we hit the trails
