We are SO glad that Jon Hinker NJ VFW Judge Advocate selected us to be part of this important topic.
It was an outstanding event, with great weather, an excellent group and much needed support. From the WnW Family pitching in providing healthy snacks and setting up/breaking down, to the Somers Point, NJ Shop Rite for their donation of fruit & bagels, to Jacqui Hinker & Matt Jacobs of the Wilmington VA for their information and knowledge, to the Nature Conservancy for welcoming & providing some gifts for everyone and getting involved with the event, to the Millville Lowe’s for making up the mental health signs, to all that participated because of their concern for this important topic.
There were (8) wooden signs with words connected with mental health placed throughout the trail. All were discussed at some point. There was great discussions that most participated in.
Mental health struggles do not discriminate. It is something that we all should be observant of, both in ourselves, but also with those we interact with. Please feel free to con tact us if you have any questions, concerns about someone’s mental health and/or to become a volunteer.
